Action for Positive Change
Because of the severe prejudices that children with disabilities
face, many do not attend school. Despite Uganda's "Universal
Primary Education" plan (UPE), which provides primary education
to all children, many children with disabilities still do not
attend. One reason is that the neglect that is suffered in their
early years has left them without the social skills or independence
that is needed to carry out basic activities of daily living.
However, we believe that this does not have to be the case.

Through the program Action for Positive Change, preschool and
school aged children with disabilities are taught the activities
of daily living skills that most of us take for granted - grooming,
self-feeding, social interaction, character building, etc. The
goal of the project is to help these precious children gain a
measure of independence, assimilate into society, and ultimately
attend school.
Supplies and materials are desperately needed for this project.
You can help donate needed learning toys and supplies to this
project! Click here for our wish list - donating is quick and
