
Laurie Moy
Executive Director |
Mrs. Moy has been involved with People With Disabilities
Uganda since early spring of 2000. Supporting the organization
in the capacity of Coordinator of Online Volunteers, Mrs.
Moy has managed more than 150 online volunteers for the
Kampala based organization. She has recently held workshops
in New York, USA, Geneva, Switzerland, and Panama City,
Panama, presenting the benefits and best practices of hosting
volunteers online. An online volunteer herself, Mrs. Moy
traveled to Uganda in November 2001 as the first NetAid/UNV
online volunteer to visit their program onsite. She was
recently given the Online Volunteer of the Year 2002 award
from the NetAid organization and UNV. Mrs. Moy is also serving
as the standing President of Pearls of Africa.

Richard Mugisha
Director

An economist with vast experience in disability issues,
he has also served on various Boards including the Federation
of Uganda Employers, and has also headed the Uganda Association
of people with learning difficulties as its CEO. Mr. Mugisha
is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for People With
Disabilities Uganda.

Christopher Moy
Director

Mr. Moy holds a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling
from Boston University and is a Certified Rehabilitation
Counselor. He has vast experience with vocational rehabilitation
issues, assistive technology, and working with children
with disabilities. He is currently serving as the Coordinator
of Disability Services at Marywood University in Scranton,
Pennsylvania.

Jean Lin
Director |
Ms. Lin is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania in
Management and Technology. She has served PWD as an online
volunteer for almost 2 years, developing programs and consulting
on various issues. Ms. Lin is temporarily taking a break
from her director responsibilities so she can serve as a
financial administrator for Action Against Hunger in Kabul,
Afghanistan. We wish her the best of luck and safe journey.
